Finding my MOJO!

HI TEAMMATES!!
I am at a good point with my fitness mojo, but I’d like some MORE MOJO!! I’ve been struggling to get in my gym workouts with the chaos of the kids being home and my preference to “play”- I would rather play tennis or go run sprints, than workout in the gym. This morning I was all about finding some MOJO for me and my fellow TEAMMATES!! I spent a couple hours putting together a routine that will “shake up” my lifting routine. I plan to “try it out” over the next couple weeks and if I like it…I’ll share it as our next “contest/challenge”!! I think I’ll start on Thursday.
…then today we played 3 games of BOWLING~ I was VERY inconsistent but it was a good time overall. I took some pics- which I’ll upload with some 4th of July ones later.
anyhow…right now I have to get rollin’ to go do my LEG workout! I am going to get in a GOOD one!!
Push your bodies hard, go for the MOJO and have fun playing~ that’s why we do this!!

Please Lord God Almighty,
Let me have the strength to get all the kids buckled up and checked in to childcare today so that I can go kill myself doing my workout
Let all the kids be healthy enough to go to the gym
Let all the kids take their naps so that I can do my workout during naptime
Let all the kids take their naps so that we don’t have melt downs at the gym childcare
Let the kids poop b4 we go to the gym so that they don’t hate me for stinking the place up
Let the kids learn to love spinach, oatmeal and chicken so that I don’t have to make a separate meal for everyone
Help my husband have a huge desire to rub my stiff and tired body tonight
Help me fit into my jeans today, I did legs yesterday and they are so swollen I don’t think my sweats would even fit
Help me figure out a way to wash the dishes since my arms are too sore and tired to even lift them
Help me to be tough and not complain and be a great example to my children to brainwash them into believing working out is actually fun
Keep our family safe from the gym freak who I heard was a convicted rapist
I pray that no one will ask me for any advice today while I am in the middle of my set of walking lunges
Please Lord help me LOVE others, take the time to show love first and foremost to my kids and DH

Ball Park fun!!

I got to go to the BallPark today!! We woke up to such a nice sunny day today that Travis decided we needed to go the NATURALS (a local minor league team) game. I haven’t been to a ball game in about 10 years- it was a blast!

After the game we came home and I got my DAILY BIKINI PIC DONE- DAY #3!

The kids are home now and it’s a cool zoo around here~ and I’ve gotta catch up with you!! Seems like everyone has spring fever!!

Listening to your body – even when it tells you BAD NEWS!

Listening to your body- even when it tells you BAD NEWS! is the lesson I’ve learned this weekend. I’ve been pretty much ignoring my body’s plea to STOP and REST due to back/pelvis/hip/sacrum/sciatic pain for the past 2-3 weeks. AND it caught up with me on Saturday. After my workout I was in a ton of pain and have been pretty much IMMOBILE since then.
I got to the chiro first thing this morning and he told me what I already knew that I needed to ICE and REST so that the cycle of pain could stop.
So….I am taking the week completely off of normal workouts. It may KILL ME, but I’m going to submit and do it.
The timing of this is not the best with the start of our 6 week contest being today, but I’m allowing contestants to join in up to a week late, so I’ll do the same.
I posted about the TESTS for the contest in the forum and I’ll be posting a bunch more info as we go along, so STAY TUNED!! It’s going to be a fun 6 week challenge!!
I’m off to ICE!
