Just joined RR! I am excited and love the 2wk trail as I was not sure what it is all about!
Digging deep into my HT book and after baby abs. Been working and lifting hard for 2 years. Lost 40 lbs but striving to do better (BUFF), want to break the family cycle of obesity!!
Thanks for letting me be here!

    Hello Michelle,
I just wanted to say that I think you are amazing! I am having a rough time adjusting to my new body after children. I was always a fitness freak!!! I love the gym and and a good challenge. My children are 5 and 3, and my dilemma is TOTAL diastasis recti. My Dr did not expalin this damage after my 1st, and I jumped right back into my training. I trained hard for 2 years my body was solid except for my potruding belly and back pain. I did ab classes 4 days a week and could not figure it out. When I got preg with #2 the damage was obvious. Now I am a self employed mother of 2 who cannot afford the 12,000 surgery. It’s depressing!!!! I spend 10 hrs in the gym and run at least 10 miles a week. I am not seeing results because I have no CORE!!! I am in constant pain and I miss being fit. It was my life! I have done physical therapy which was a joke. Drs jsut want to push pain meds for my back. I refuse to take narcotics! I’m just wondering if you have any advice, or secret exercises for someone in my condition?
Thanks for listening to me vent.
    Andrea

    Hello!

I am a new mother, my little girl is 2 half months. Ihave just started my training and wanted to know if i can take creatine and l glutamine if im still breastfeeding?

    • #4 by buffmother on September 5th, 2009

I would ask your doctor about his/her thoughts on it. In my opinion l-glutamine is safer to take than creatine.

At this point your best bet would be to make sure you are EATING enough protein daily~ at least your goal body weight PLUS 25g’s more to help support your nursing.

Day #1 – Day off from work today so I went grocery shopping. I was watching Food Network while getting ready and saw a wonderful recipe segment from Robin Miller. So tonight we are trying one of her recipes: Turkey tenderloin with roasted sweet potatoes. I’ll let you know how it turns out. As far as exercise, 30 minutes on my eliptical machine at home. I do have a question, I am a nurse and walk an average of 6-8 miles at work. Can I count that as my exercise for the day? : )
